Brr Wednesday

Garbage day and we managed to have 4 Big Blues at the street.  That's the most ever for one pick up.  Ornamental grass takes up a lot of room.

I ironed the 10 burps I worked on yesterday and did the top stitching on all 10.  More flannel was ripped and folded.  Neighbor rang the doorbell borrowing the crock pot for the Sat. Chili party at the park.  It's going to be a Brrr party.  Should I or should I not make Chocolate Chip Cookies!? We had a great visit.

Then Doug and I were off to Aldi's for that once in a while tour of the store.  Remodeling has increased options by at least 100%. I'm learning quickly to look in new places for old stuff. We're set for another week or so.  After everything was stocked, I was off to the Y for a walk on the treadmill.  A mile was the goal reached.  Then off to Wild birds for a small bag of Safflower seeds.  Black birds are supposed to hate Safflower. We'll see who likes it.

The rocks in the feeder help to steady and slow down the movement caused by the wind.

A small amount of Safflower because I wanted to see what the birds of all kinds would do with it. And the feeder isn't a Wild birds feeder so would this all work.  Time will tell.  The wind and the change in temperature certainly have lessened the number of birds seen today.  So far, so good.

                                                    Two tiny Finch getting dinner.

Supper was stuffed peppers and rice again.  And then it was off to Broad ripple to get Eric. Doug took left overs to Eric.  He loves stuffed peppers.  Kat experiences migraine headaches when the weather changes and this week certainly has seen that happening more than once.  Frost is predicted tonight.  I think I'll be covering things just in case.

Living at the top of the hill helps to avoid the first frost of the season.  Let's hope that is true tonight. Some of the zinnias are close to the house which usually keeps them a bit warmer.

So another good day with things to do and miles to go before I sleep.
Did I lose the window for washing.  I hope not. It was too cold to open windows today.

Wednesday was another good day.  They just keep coming and I need to keep going to the Y.  I tried a machine today that proved to me I have weak arms.  GOOD GRIEF! Something to work on.

Another month of Kisqali has arrived by Fed X.  Medicine is taking care of me.  I am blessed.
