Monday
Last night was a little crazy with a lot of wake ups. I gave in at 5 to watch the daybreak. Early breakfast and the day was off to a good start. There was a little sewing and then it was off to Living Strong. We had a great workout. It was all about balance and stretching. It was a challenge to say the least. I think I need some remediation balance work before the next go around. We did a lot of laughing because we all are about in the same place except the teacher. She can bend like a pretzel and she is 84. So we just try harder. Sometimes we use that excuse word, cancer. It never works.
Then there was a trip south to pick up the notorious pants that needed mending. The hole isn't large but it's not an easy fix. There are a few options. I love the challenge.
The hole is no more. The bees and flowers are another option but I'll need to clear this with the wearer. There was lunch and then a trip to the Whisper Hearing Center with Doug and one of his hearing aids. He pulled a wire. This was at a new location that I knew. I drove Doug to the center. Then he went back within 30 minutes to pick up the repaired aid. And then he went back again because he left his credit card. Don't you think the location should be imprinted on his brain by now?
I moved on to do more work on the first 10 of the next 100 burps.
Another beautiful flannel sheet now becoming something else that keeps me thinking.I visited the garden and pulled more peppers to make two meals of stuffed peppers. I also pulled out some pepper less pepper plants. The recent rain and wind did a number on the tall straw flowers, so I did a bit of staking. They looked pretty good by evening.
I have a lot of straw flower seeds to plant next spring in my gal. jugs for an early start.I made an attempt to cut the rest of the ornamental grass, but the battery ran dry. Doug said tomorrow would be a better day to get the grass into a borrowed B Blue. That suits me fine. Tues. is put out the garbage day.
I found this in the garden a few days ago. The picture was taken tonight. It will be a Swallowtail butterfly. And it's Monday night in America. Football entertainment for sure. It's a good evening if one doesn't get too excited.
And yes, today was a little nippy with a 40 degree start. I wore a jacket this morning to fetch the paper, but I toughed it out the rest of the day. There were a few phone calls to friends. That includes my sister no more than just a couple of miles from my house. Now isn't that nice.
