Thursday

I would say Thursday is also part of the brrrrr weather.  It would seem that someone left the door open to the north.  And...yes there was a first frost although it always is at the bottom of the hill at the beginning of the frost season.  Now tonight the report is that we're having a KILLING frost.  Maybe I should use the electric blanket instead of a sheet.  Last night the sheet worked just in case.  I'm covering up again tonight.  Check tomorrow to see if it worked.

No damage last night when the sheet blew off.  Tonight the sheet is tied to the wire cage.

So, the morning wasn't so early but not late either. The sewing machine got my attention again.  You shouldn't be surprised.  Nothing was finished but just started.

More of the same and more coming.

I discovered the doorknob on the patio door fell apart and the two hanging bird feeders next to the house were on the ground.  All that was discovered just before I left for Living Strong.  I made a promise to fix everything mentioned when back home.

So it was off to the Y where we learned that our teacher who had "lectured" on avoiding falls on Monday was walking her dog and fell breaking her nose.  Best laid plans went south or something like that. It might have been the dog's fault. We have two people assigned to teach so we were not out of teacher luck.  There was visiting and strength and cardio work.  I managed another fast mile and happy to get off the tread killer. I did see scenes of Australia flying by while hoofing it on the machine.

And would you know...Passing Goodwill did a job on me.  An ice scoop came home with me to take the place of one broken by the cubes.  A twin white flannel sheet for 3 bucks which got ripped later in the day, and a closed container also joined the bag.  I would like to discover where all the lids are hiding for the containers I have.  I needed a lidded container!

Fresh flowers tonight before the frost.

Lunch and then the job was to fix the doorknob/latch and repaired the bird feeder holder.  Mission accomplished not without some dumb tries that needed to be retried until I got it right. Things work better if one is thinking better.

I spent a bit of time outside with a jacket on to keep warm doing a few little bits of things. The B Blue got a contribution from the garden cart. The sunshine was such a draw that I just couldn't resist outside air.

I moved a few things today.  Do you think the Christmas Cactus will believe it needs                                         to show up with Santa in the pot and the moose nearby?  I'll try anything.

I sent my reply of yes to attending the neighborhood Halloween party at our park.  I'm taking dessert. Yes, it will be C C C's.

There was supper, blog time and then the plan for the evening is to watch the Pacers.  It's a super way to avoid politics which is getting worse then better.  I think we have a very sick president.  Sick in many ways which no one wants to talk about.
