Sunday
The good sleeps are piling up and the stack just can't get too high. So, it was the usual sort of early morning stuff. This Sunday with Doug's usual late wake up we left for church as soon as he was dressed. The reason? Time to start having help with moving things from the attic. Heidi and I needed to be at church when the youth moved things to the tables on the first level. And we made it. The tables are filled with nativities ready to be placed in areas to be on display for the 4 weeks of Advent and 2 weeks of Christmas Tide. Little by little with thinking ahead makes this an easier job. The eight youth were awesome with their help taking less than 15 minutes to move everything needed.
We'll be working at church on Tuesday getting all ready for our set up again nativity Sunday which is next week. But first comes the last Sunday of the church year...Christ the King Sunday with a few changes. Then it's onward and forward all hands on deck with Advent and Christmas Tide.
Then it was time for church with the yearly celebration of Hamilton Weekend. Not the celebration of the movie but the celebration of the yearly Hamilton Sunday honoring both Anna Lee and Dick Hamilton. Dick was our beloved Sr. minister for years. Anna Lee, a wonderful preschool teacher in the Sunday School as well as faculty member at Butler in the voice department. Two folks who meant a lot to us.
It was a wonderful Sunday of worship and learning. The church was full as it once was before the pandemic.
The theme for this year's Sunday was on women's health issues. Our state of Indiana's UM Bishop preached. There was a dinner and then afternoon speaker. It was an awesome morning that filled the soul.
Doug did not stay but I was delivered home by Eric and Beth G. It was great to have time to visit with them.
Then as you might know, it was football time. The Colts week was intitled BY. But there were planty of other games to watch. I knitted with my morning cup of coffee close by. It's never to late for coffee.
All is well. For those expecting to read Sunday night . All is well. Spectrum was doing crazy things and since we have many things tired to Spectrum...it was a knitting night and nothing else.
