Saturday
You get one guess. What am I missing.
Two posting on the same day. Be aware of the two postings that have the same date...Dee. I bet you didn't miss that at all knowing your attention to details. I cannot control the date, just naming the day.
What happened today. There was the beginning with knitting...then a trip south to church and a morning of work that created an eat in meal and a lot of carry out food. We have a group of folks that go out to schools and rescues packaged food the children choose not to eat. The food collected is distributed to other soup kitchen as well as ours. This collection creates a lot of extra goodies. Prepackaged vegetables(tomatoes), fresh fruit (grapes and cantaloupe) and sometimes even sandwiches.
Today we had an extra bit of entertainment with a whole lot of snow falling. So, the numbers were less than usual and the number of folks working were more than usual. There was time to visit and work on a few extra things. The trip home was a little longer than usual, but I can say the drivers were taking it easy with a lot of distance between cars. I've driven in worse weather in Ohio. Today's driving was not so unusual for me. The snow has continued all afternoon and it's promising to continue for a while longer. When one has on hand the big three of M B and E, there is no reason to be concerned about surviving. The sights out the window is beautiful. The neighbor reported three deer chased by a buck. I see there will be next summer problems in the making. After lunch the usual nap appeared as it always does after B and B. Picking up knitting again I watched the Butler Basketball team play Providence. My knitting pace picked up to match the pace of the game. After two overtimes the game came to an end with Butler winning. I was thinking with such a good game played they both won but only one team can claim the W. I'm happy to say the game ended correctly!
Humm. White like the snow but not exactly snow. It's a spring early bloomer.I must say another scarf is ready to come off the needles. I called my neighbor Ginna who originally lived in Carmel but is back again after spending 10 years in Florida. This is her first S Storm of any depth now that she is back. She is surviving well.
I also called son JB/Kimmy just being nosy. They were at a birthday party for a cute 2 yr old great nephew. They also reported record breaking Christmas pottery sales this year. Another kiln is loaded with a first firing. Kimmy will be busy this coming week, glazing and posting pictures online leading to more trips to the post office. It's been an exciting period of time for them.
So, what will tomorrow bring. Church online or church in person. It's the first of two Mary Sundays. Jill is preaching telling me Elizabeth along with Mary is included in tomorrow sermon. The choir is singing the Magnificat. I'd rather be there then here. Without a doubt, Carmel will be out with plows and salt as soon as the storm is over. Indianapolis will not do as well having more roads with the ratio of plows probably less.
So, another good day with a lot happening. I'm happy to report that those who came for lunch had warm coats. Indianapolis has a lot of coat give aways and it seems that our folks were able to benefit.
