Thursday

Not too many things happened today but my body is telling me what happened was enough.

I worked on the needle work this morning finishing one small cross.  But I really want to say it's not finished until it is on one side of the stole.  There is a whole lot more to do and since Lent is the deadline, there is a lot of time.

Then it was off to church for the second of four nativity open house events.  The predicted winter weather was a factor for a not so complete 100% attendance record. We had a few cancellations, but we carried on with about 10 folks coming to enjoy the nativities.  The cancellations assured us they would be back at the next open house. We would say another success for today's event. The threat of more snow caused us to cancel the evening visit time.  There was only one person coming and with a phone call that person came during our day event.  We're down to one more Thursday nativity visit.

One of the kings in one of the sets.  I think he is cute.

There was a stop at R and B's with containers for Bread and Bowl carry out food. Rita labels the containers with heating information. Then on to Aldie's for milk.  I have eggs and bread but adding milk makes it the big three needed when a snowstorm is predicted.  The store was F ULL of folks doing what I was doing. A few other things hoped in the cart.

Sorry, the angel just didn't quite make it.  MAYBE SHE WAS FLYING TOO HIGH.

The car took me home.  I was happy to be in that space.  The rest of the afternoon saw me in the chair trying to find some energy.  It really was hiding, and I didn't feel like seeking for it even after some sleeping. I'm sure it will appear tomorrow.

Don't you just love that rabbit sitting in the manger.

I picked up a small pizza for supper.  I'm just a bit tired of soup so this was a welcomed change even though I'm not much of a pizza eater.

The hope is that tonight the needle work cross shows some stitch filling.  Tomorrow, Doug has a trip to the Saxony heart doctor.  We'll see if the appointment is cancelled in the morning.  I call this a good day.  A day once again sharing with others as we are called to do.
