Wednesday

It's been a busy day but now my job is to remember what happened.

I stopped at Patty's yesterday and relieved her of a project she was stuck on.  Stuck meant out of ideas about how to finish a project.  She was stuck.  So, the project came to this house and this morning I pulled out threads and ribbon and more and came up with a plan.  That's as far as it went this morning.  BU T...I had a plan.  That's all I wanted at that moment.

I decided to do some Christmas shopping.  I was all set to go to Kohls.  I looked for my Kohl's card, and I could not find it.  What a bummer.  It was new...I have not used this one and what happened to it is beyond me.  I thought I had put it with my other card.  Not there.  So instead of Kohls...I went to Target.

And I found what I wanted there. Goodwill was close to Target so there was another look for flannel sheets.  There was not a one.  Woo.  Money saved!

Then it was off to Zionsville to see the dentist...And you guessed correctly when there was another stop at another Goodwill.  Bingo...there was a flannel sheet, but it was 5.99.  The same print fitted sheet was 3.99 but there was a big stain on it.  I left both of them hanging.  Then onward and forward to the dentist for a cleaning.  All was well. Done for another six months. They say one can stop having a colonoscopy when your age allows that.  I'm wondering about dentists.

And before leaving Zionsville I stopped at the needlework store and found some gold embroidery floss.  I'm sure to have enough now for this new project. So, what is the project?  Some time ago I posted some pictures of a chasuble. It was green.  I'm putting the finishing touches on a purple chasuble now.  There are three crosses.  One completely filled with beautifully finished cross stitching by my friend Marcia L. She's a master at this technique.

Every stitch is where it should be.  Marcia doesn't cheat.  She has done cross stitching for YEARS!                                             There will be some gold edging and then sewn onto the chasuble.

There is filling in work for two small crosses and then the next part is to stitch them to the chasuble.

I have a bit finished but there is more to do.                                                                                        The crosses are small and will be sewn on the stoles.                                                                                A better camera would show more color in both pictures.

I worked on some filling in this afternoon and decided to work tonight on more.  Well, my eyes are great with daylight and just plumb out of it with lamp light.  Woo.  That was a HUGH surprise. That told me it was blog time.

I was home for a while and realized I had forgotten to stop at Rosie's garden shop.  That was the plan that just left my brain for some reason.  So off to Rosie's and another purchase was made.  Check that off the making a list thing and checking it twice.

Supper was soup again, this time pesto was added to the chicken veg.  Yum, yum.  I added pesto I made this summer. So, the evening was pretty quiet.  I could have picked up knitting.  I could have done some flannel sheet ripping but I did neither.  Some evenings are like that, even in Carmel.  Tomorrow is another nativity open house from 10 to 1along with an evening event from 6 to 7.  It's Christmas time at North.                                   7
