Friday

One of many Fridays added to my life.  I am grateful.  This morning happened sort of early, but I decided to stay in bed where it was warmer. Just a super excuse for that decision.  Then it was time to meet the day which started with breakfast and receiving a Jared text with a minus 10 Michigan report. I was on my way to I U North at 7:30 for the regular monthly infusion visit with a zero report on temperature.

It's always great to visit with such positive folks at the front desk, then Eric who works at the second-floor desk and the nurses who prepare the infusion and administer it. So many kind thoughtful folks.

A harbinger of things to come with barely a touch of pink.

Then out the door around nine knowing that the Goodwill stores would be open.  I chose to visit the one on the far north side, with a West Field address.  And I found two cotton sheets with kid prints that would work for burps and a big flannel sheet filled with snowmen. I would call this my lucky morning.

All went into the washing machine when I returned home even though they have been washed many times in their previous life.  That pretty much finished the morning.

What a sweet sweet pea.  It happens to be a perennial pea.  That is if I let it be.

Later in the day was fabric purchased folding time along with a little preparation for their next life.  The afternoon saw our regular Friday dirty clothes become clean clothes again. Doug was at the dentist. I assured him I still knew how to wash clothes.

I worked on 20 more burps started yesterday. Just like pottery there are many steps from beginning to end. I may leave the finished part for tomorrow.

So girly.  I played a lot with these flowers in my mother's garden.

Another easy supper happened finding good things in the refrigerator to heat up.  There was bird time but not so much today.  I was busy with other things.  I'm expecting another quiet evening with no disappointments coming to mess up quiet.

January is almost over.  February is a short month! Yeah!  Then comes March who is either lamb or lion with winter on the way out for sure on some days.  My hope is that Feb. will bring a tease now and then. Time will tell.

With one exception, it would seem I like pink.  Should I change the odd ball picture?

Now off to an evening of knitting.  There is pink in the yarn along with some other colors.
