Tursday
Of course, we must start with Monday evening and the win. The BIG TIME WIN! The only one in my lifetime is one way to remember the event. And if you guessed the I U Football Championship game...you are right. This teacher will give you an A+. What fun to be experiencing JOY in this case. It was an evening of pure exuberance hearing from friends vacationing in California with an earthquake happening in the middle of the game maybe IU caused, camping friends in Sterling, Mi and family members.
This morning, I turned on the sports TV station and relived last night again. Another few hours of living with Monday's sweet memories. It feels good to have positive vibes for a happening even if it's football. The kids gifted us with a positive Indiana experience. We'll make it last as long as we can.
Another happening for me later this morning was another balance PT drill. Sessions have been pretty easy so far, but today's assignments just didn't go as I would have like. So, more homework. Some balance things just are way off. Some not so far. The reward was a stop at Goodwill within walking distance of PT. I brought nothing home. Nothing was really cheap today.
There was lunch and then it was Doug's turn to get his monthly iron shot. He sees the same gentle caring folks that I see for my monthly cancer infusions. You could call it a family affair. My visit is next Monday. I hope Doug behaved himself.
Knitting continues with ten scarves in the basket. My neighbor reported seeing a good-sized healthy coyote wondering through the neighborhood this morning. Not to unusual. The ones I've seen in past years haven't looked so good. That's the difference. It must be a new generation. Squirrels they can have. Pets...off limits.
I made another attempt at rearranging the bird feeders. I do that more often than I have ever done with furniture in my house. Kimmy knows that. Now we'll see what problems the squirrel can solve. The hope is none. The Starling problem will stay a problem until I get the cages for the peanuts.
So, Tuesday continues with leftovers for supper. There will be knitting and basketball somewhere coming over the tube. Life goes on with happy memories if the TV is tuned to the right channel. I call it turning off the dark.
Any extra celebrations at the monastery, Dee? Did you introduce the fight song?
