Saturday

I'm a little late starting the blog but there was an important happening early evening.  So here goes the attempt.  It was a good morning for a Saturday.  I still enjoy Saturday even though all the other days  feel like a Saturday when I was working five days a week.

Nigela, One of the earliest flowers to bloom.  It self seeds every year!

There was a whole lot of bird watching, feeding and thawing bird bath water.  The Blue Birds really like water with their food.  The others don't have water so much on their want list unless it might be for play in the bathtub time.  There were hordes of Blue Birds this afternoon filling the feeder way over the number indicated safe for the space. The fire marshal was nowhere to be seen.

I picked up the new yarn to knit and then realized that it really wasn't new.  I had a skein of the same stuff maybe a month ago.  But the needles were pretty busy, and I finished half a scarf in the morning.  I guess that's all I did with finishing the whole thing later in the day.  I thought two days of almost nothing wouldn't be a bad thing.

I spent some time talking to Jared about Arnie.  His registered name is first the Kennel he came from.  I forgot that name, next is Arthur and the third name is Bentley.  Now how about that. I finally succeeded. It's Bentley for sure. I think I got the other things correct. If not...do I care?  Bentley is correct! And I'm sure Arnie will meet the lady at the bank.

The afternoon happened and then came a trip to the Y.  There were more folks working than I was hoping for.  All the treads were full, so I started on the Nu Step and eventually went to the treadmill.  All with Schubert in my ear which was wonderful.  I thought about HL but that's all the farther that thought went.  I was ready to go home and get that power drink.

Tonight, I watched a live stream music program from Goshen College seeing and hearing Andrew sing in two choirs.  Now you know more about the happening. It's a wonderful way to have a chair side view and not feeling left out. There is no long trip home. I hope we can attend the next one with warmer weather.

I didn't sing a simple song today, but I think having a simple day was just fine.
