Thursday
Today had some interesting parts a little different than other days. It started out to be the same old same old as JB would say. That's short for Jared Bryon. So, here goes the day.
Now, this could not get any prettier. A beautiful Hibiscus.Up at about the same time with breakfast, TV and pills. The same old same old for sure. Then let's add knitting to the S O S O. I finished another scarf, so the basket is filling fast since I didn't empty it completely when giving Ginny her bag full. That took me to Living Strong time which started a bit later this morning. I arrived later also. Most folks were there but some were not. And the morning continued with a whole lot of visiting on many topics. It was a social morning for sure.
A good garden harvest. Some years are better than others. The session ended with some questions being answered and being introduced to an instructor of a class that could be a choice for me. Balance, Balance, Balance, the class being small in number including ladies not to far away from my age. Well, better said younger for sure.
I talked about wanting Thi Chi and that lead to observing but then participating in a class starting today with balance also being a big part of the 40 minutes session but not labeled as being Thi Chi. Both teachers I liked showing they knew what they were doing and talking about. It's going to be a good mind and muscle type of exercise having elements of martial arts. That teacher is retired from teaching special ed. kids in IPS schools learning to fight without hurting anyone. His WORDS. Our pardoner in crime is a stick called Jo needed for balance. Now go figure. It takes a whole lot of balance to do the moves using the stick correctly. I have a way to go. We also did exercises on how to fall protecting our heads.
I was gone from 10:30 to 2:00 PM with all of the Y stuff wondering if Doug was trying to guess how many Goodwill's I had visited. And sure enough, he met me in the garage to carry in bags. I gave him my purse. Crazy guy.
This is how one does pancakes in the middle of a rainstorm. It can happen. There is a big electric skillet under that blue tarp with a big umbrella taking care of the adults. All is well, all is well. I think we were standing in some puddles. Then there was lunch, a power drink and a big nap with TV on and my brain in La la land. Probably a better place than trying to figure out what is happening in the world. I'm not sure anyone can do that.
One class I'll start next Tuesday and Thursday and one in March with a new routine learned at the beginning of the month. Both will be on the same days following one another. I've got to get ready for the garden. I'd rather be better with balance. I will continue with Live Strong.
The day flew by with supper, starting another scarf knowing I'll run out of yarn if I don't get more. Tomorrow is PT at 9 am. Then I think the car will find its way to HL I'm sure by itself. And I'll be riding along with it. The B. birds seemed to be a little put out with me. I filled their dish around 4, but it would seem they were telling me they had been forgotten all day long. Poor Babies, I would say.
So, other than what you just read not much happened.
