Friday
Now where did today start. It seems like 36 hours ago. It was a busy day and as the day was winding down it wound up again. Some days are like that even in Carmel.
Today was my infusion day. I call it a nothing burger. There usually are two "shots' that take about 40 seconds or so being very slow injections one in each hip at the same time. Most folks don't choose to get them at the same time but I do. The medicine comes frozen and not ordered from the pharmacy until they see the whites of my eyes! It needs to be warmed so most of the time I sit and wait for that to happen. That's part of my routine once a month.
I dropped off a load of books at the library on my way to I U North. Back home on the ranch I watched a bit of TV. At one point I bundled up and walked the garden. Nothing much was happening but the lettuce has emerged. It was back inside to some nice warm space. I watched the ladies play basketball at some point.
It's tiny but it's there.Around 4 what I thought was a butt call from Jared came through. No butt call. This one on purpose with the news asking if it was OK with us, the Michigan gang would be on their way here to introduce us to Arnie Bentley. Of course it was OK. So, the wheels started churning and the rest is history. It will be a short visit of one day knowing that Adam has a Sunday afternoon soccer game. And then the spring soccer schedule starts in earnest and will be the driver for this family. So...before the busies happen we'll meet Arnie late tonight. His water dish is waiting full of good Carmel water.
I replenished all the bird feeders and filled the jars that holds bird food. The finch continue to be the big eaters. The sparrows love the B Bird food. Life has improved since I packed away the black sunflower feeder. The spills have gone away. The ground feeders get a handful of seed. It would appear that the starlings have given up on the menu choices.
Tomorrow is B and B morning and Palm Sunday stuff needs to be delivered so we'll be at church for a couple of hours with JB and Kimmy helping. Then an afternoon and evening of fun and games.
Surprises like this keep me on my toes and that's just where I want to be. Toe tapping and dancing to the antics of a poodle puppy.
