Saturday
It's been a busy day with the family. We were up early and at 8 Kimmy, Jared and I were off to church to help with Bread and Bowl. Some of the workers were missing so we needed to be there.
An assembly line filling take home meals happens each B and B day.Keeping Jared and Kimmy busy was the goal and that happened big time with them bouncing from job to job. By 10:15 we were finished with preparation. We also managed to move everything back to where it needed to be for Sunday after the Thursday rehearsal.
tribution to both first and second service people tomorrow. It was another morning that kept us on our toes. We managed to leave church around 10:20 leaving other folks to serve the community meal. All was ready.
The afternoon was a fun time of visiting, doing a few projects and just working together. Eric, Kat and Noah joined us. We worked on building a better Conner Prairie fence with pussy willow stalks.
I love the earthiness of such a fence. We cut and wove and then cut and wove until the construction was good and solid.
Noah helped with the work.A new Blue Bird House to replae the house with the woodpecker hole was installed. There was time to visit with neighbor Bill. Then all the scraps made their way to the burn pile. Eli and Adam did a cleanup of leaves in the front yard. So another attempt to get the yard ready for the spring growing season. It was a fun afternoon.
And then the card games happened. More good ways to visit with lots of joking and laughing happening. I can't say how much fun it has been to see Arnie for the first time. I have concluded that already this is a well mannered quiet poodle who has become part of the family.
The Purdue game occupied part of the evening after the final card game. It's been a busy day and one that I will cherish for a very long time. Great memories, great memories.
