Sunday
Today's pictures are visuals for Palm Sunday. The scripture is taken from Matthew.
We'll add palm leaves and palm plants around the donkey Saturday.
Last night was a very short night. Should we say under 3 hours of shut eye. What was I thinking? I've had nights like this before and I'll have them again. It's interesting that the next day usually just rolls along as if I had 8 hours.
I walked the garden this morning checking on the transplants. They all seemed to be OK. And I looked at places on the east and north side of the house. They have been untouched but I don't think they will need a lot of work.
Jesus in the temple with the money changers You have made this a house of thieves. So, off to church to hear the choir rehearse and then the last sermon in a series on Hope. After Easter there will be a series on Justice.
After church Heidi, Eric O and Eric R and I changed out some of the visuals for Lent and moved in visuals for next Sunday's Palm Passion service. Then home for lunch and Basketball. Purdue won and now is in the Sweet Sixteen. Iowa and St. Johns are also in the 16 group.
Jesus anointed with precious oil and the soldiers swords.I made an afternoon run for some plants from Eric and Kat. Spent a little time getting more portein drinks and then finished up at Aldi's.
The Pulpit area. Thistles sprayed purple used during all of Lent. The rooster and Pilot's bowl are next. I forgot to take a picture. The rest of the afternoon was spent getting me out of trouble. It's that I C E Hat. There were big mistakes in the last two rows. It's taking some time to get rid of them. Knitting goes on top of knitting. Pearling goes on top of pearling. Somewhere I got off and now I'm determined to make it right. It's a time user but another hour or so the hope is that all is corrected. It's not the way I wanted to spend the day but sometimes there is not a choice if something is really worth doing right.
Matthew stated that the robe Jesus was dressed in was red. He was given a reed and wore a crown. The story continues with a Thursday evening service of communion. There is a community service at noon Friday with an evening service when the choir will sing Rutters Requiem.Once again on Sunday the choir with the youngest children will sing Little Gray Donkey. And once again on Easter Sunday they will sing Up from the grave He arose. Yes...all the verses. Jill will preach next Sunday.
The day was a good one. I delighted to think that the church work is about 90% finished for next Sunday. The palm trees need to be delivered and the palm branches need to be prepared for Sunday. That's about it and I call that easy..
Rain is expected tonight. Sounds good to me.
