Tuesday

Today was a home day and a Y day.  Late afternoon we added an Uber. It was a perfect day for working in the garden.  So that kept me very busy.  The energy bucket was full and refilling it wasn't hard at all with a protein drink.  There is something about Spring air, sunshine and a great wind now and then along with finding surprises to keep one on the go.  It could have been a kite day if one had a kite.  That is for a few hours.  Kites and a March wind that comes and goes is sometimes big time frustration.

First view of the 2026 milkweed.  Now for the Monarchs.  Let's have some caterpillars.

Today's biggie in the garden was looking for wild strawberry plants.  And there were many.  Wild seem to take over if left alone robbing the other plants of water.  So they had to go.  I found new little starts of so many things that was a whole lot of fun making transplanting and watering  part of the day.  The moved Lenten Roses took a beating but should be OK in a few days.  Well, that is the hope that springs eternal for a gardener.

And there was a change of clothes and a trip to the Y for the strengthening class.  It's a fun class and one that is never boring.  I canceled April's class knowing that I'll get enough of a work out in the garden.  I will continue the M. Arts class.  It helps with balance.   And the energy bucket continued to provide in the afternoon. It was a great feeling.

And once again, the Solomon Seal is showing up.

The garden cart was full of another contribution to the big blues and this time our gift to the B B Truck will be three containers full.  Woo. This spring seems to be a messy one with wind bringing down little twigs and blowing anything that's loose right to our yard.  Or...so it seems. I worked till 3:30 and then started thinking of supper.  Thank goodness, Sloppy Joe sandwich stuff is left over from the weekend.  Add a salad and supper will happen.  We'll do an uber for Eric.  I guess that means I have had two trips out to see the world today.

There is a lot of work to be completed in the garden before I feel finished.  Last year one of the old beds told me it was tired.  It started out as a shade garden.  Then became a sun garden and is back to the start of a shade garden.  So, more to think about.  Little by little this will happen again.  Right now it looks tired.

Perennial Geraniums.  So different in so many ways with so many colors.  It's always a surprise.                                                                         Sometimes they are deer food.

There will be supper, an Eric Uber ride home and then time to sit.  Knitting went away last night.  It was nap time with woman's basketball time.  10:15 came and I called it a good day.  Some of the same will happen tonight.  Life is good.  No it's great, and a wonderful gift that requires a thank you from me for many reasons.

Golden Rod that planted itself in a perfect spot where we can see it every day.
