Friday

Another day started with a garden walk and then down the street to the garage sale.  They are hard to ignore when they are practically next door.

I must admit today was an easier day on the body.  It rained more than once and every time it was a real down pour.  Just what the garden needed so there was no reason to complain.  I managed to get the garden cart filled and dumped in the B Blue.  And before the next rain the cart made another contribution.

My infusion nurse getting the medicine of month ready for her patient.  I am grateful.

Then I made a trip to IU North for the monthly infusions.  They are painless when administered.  The "after time" was a bit different for the first time. Tomorrow will be better.  I still managed to keep on keeping!  It's just part of living.

My Rosie friends.  I'm looking for Swamp Milkweed for Monarchs.  I found Fennel for Swallowtails.                          Zinnias will draw them into the garden.  Well, that's the hope that springs eternal.

I repeated the routine this morning that was mine when I was doing radiation treatments. That was to stop at Rosie's on the way home.  Then spring flowers put me in a good place and something to look forward to five day a week.  So I came home with a few things today.  Some were almost over the hill at a very good special price.  I deadheaded, trimmed dead leaves and have now some pretty good primrose plants and jonquil bulbs to find homes for.  What a treat.  Still to come to plant along side fennel plants is one nice swamp milkweed.  All that should help Monarchs and Swallowtails. I managed to get four herbs and four flowers.

A nice combination of sensitive fern, Hosta and ginger.  All tolorate a good amount of shade.

The spring sneezes are back big time.  That is such a problem.  Eventually I took the last pill in the box. Tomorrow it will be Walgreen's time adding Kleenex to the list.

Once this area was covered with two beautiful shades of green vinca.  Then Lily moved in and took over.  She was moved to the B B a couple of days ago.  This is all that's left but time will help filling once again.

Doug and I did a grocery trip.  And in between times I managed to shovel out more disgusting blue flowes.  Most flowering plants are gone.  Next years plants are mostly gone and Preen may take care of the seed problem.  It's all hands on deck.

Once upon a time, like last year this plant lived just to the west of the patio along with                             a lot of Solomon Seal.  The SS were moved.  The Hosta was divided into three plants                             and all of them were moved to the front of the house.  This guy now is as big as the                                 whole bunch who lived together last year.  The two other same plants also are doing well.

This afternoon we made a run to Wild birds.  We came home with two ant traps that will go on the hummingbird feeders, finch food and a box of suet.  I think we're set for a while.  We are being overloaded with Finch and many of the same others.

This area was completely hidden by the blue flower plant.  Liberation came this morning.

Supper was another great salad along with tornado and high wind warnings.  Needless to say, we ate inside.  Another rain for us.  The third of the day.  Tomorrow.  I'll think about planting some things that are a bit hardy if cold weather comes.
