Sunday
Sunday again. I didn't do much walk around stuff before we left for church. The choir was rehearsing when we arrived and that was a huge treat. Summer choir starts next Sunday with our new director of music in charge. This Sunday was Trinity Sunday and the service was planned around the trinity with a wonderful sermon with a lot of depth of thinking. Hymns about the trinity were sung. Just a great inclusive service.
Mullin in bloom. A regal shape and texture added to the garden in two different spots. Beautiful for a while and then it is time to move on.The promised cannas were carted home with the question about available space running through my mind. There was lunch and then discovering how many cannas the bag was holding. There were a lot. After thinking and looking and then doing it all over again I found four spots that would hold the cannas. That was after I moved a few things to make space available. The sunflowers were planted. A lot of deadheading coral bells and spraying deer off on a lot of day lily buds happened. Last night the Stella Dora Lilies and Asters took a hit. There always seems to be a midnight party.
This morning a male oriole dropped by while I was at the window. He looked everywhere for jelly and the lady watching had cleaned up all the jelly holders tired of ants partaking. He even sat on the window sill where the lady was displaying the new jelly jar. Well he left and that lady quickly once again filled all the oriole feeders. Yes...the horse was out of the barn at that point so to speak. What a bummer.
A week early for us but today we had our monthly zoom meeting with family members. I always love them hearing and seeing folks once again. It's a great way to visit but in person would even score higher.
So, it was another great Sunday ready for the week. Tomorrow is another morning when we'll clean up Pentecost at church. Sad, sad but Pride month is coming with some things staying the same such as the west entry and somethings changing in other places. Summer finds the first Sunday service being held in the chapel. We'll need to be sure that space is ready for the change.
