Tuesday
Awake early again but this time I didn't get up! Well, eventually I did of course. And it was the usual get ready for the day stuff and then I was off to I U North for another blood test since I flunked part of the first one. Another week off of Kisqali for my body to recuperate and today's test was passed with a number that goes with Kisqali. Not one without cancer but one that passed with cancer. Maybe a C but not an A or B. I'll take it. I've had a lot of C's during the last few trip around the sun. I keep my eyes on the portal and experiencing a blood tests every month has taught me what's good and what is not good. The word...good to go for another month. It's a gift I cherish.
Spring in Indiana with Bear's Breeches. And yes, the U P has the real BEAR!I celebrated the portal saying good, by taking on a huge gardening project. Crazy but I marked the day by digging. There is an path of stones leading into the back yard. It can be a problem when it rains because the down spout from the house empties in that area. Large stepping stones help. Over the years we've tried different things to improve the area. Some things helped, other's didn't. The last time I spiffed up the area I said it was my last. Well, maybe today's was my last. I dug out all the grass between the stones and then moved a few.
Heavy garbage grass. That was a monumental job. The area will be Preened and then mulched. Interesting things will be planted between the stones. So far a few clumps of Lenten Roses, ground cover succulents among a few other things like maybe zinnias, parsley, hens and chicks and who knows what else. That's the play part. It was a big digging day. It's time for the chair.
Almost ready for the next phase.Julie called in the afternoon confirming what I thought the portal told me. The infusions and shot I forgot about Friday has been rescheduled for Thursday at 8:30 a m. I texted friends and had a coffee protein drink. I'm good to go in another hour or so when supper is on my mind. That's not really hard work when the lettuce tells me a salad. It's been in a good grove for a while and it can just keep on.
Can you spot four blooms. Yes...the seed were gifted to us by our U P camping friends Gary and Judy.I dusted some flowers. Depending where they are planted makes a difference with bugs that munch and those that don't. The supply available for replanting will be plentiful. I'm not anxious about that. I spotted three squirrels early this morning chasing through the flowerbeds. It appeared to me while walking the garden that some animal has torn apart all the plants in the little pond. Now that gives me something to think about. Is there a solution. I certainly won't buy the same plants again. There are other options.
So, it's been an interesting day. I'll add good day. There is a lot to be thankful for and I certainly am aware of all those who have had a part in helping the good to happen. When I was with first and second grade children, I made my self aware of something to laugh about every day. And that happened. That continues on to this very day.
