Wednesday

I might call this day a lost cause or something close to that.  A few things happened like living for one. I do call that a big one.  I thought it would be a good day to clean house.  That became a joke for a lot of what I call good reasons.  You might make a different evaluation..

I think the fungus is called Turkey Tails.

It rained down a whole lot of rain and it took a while for it to think about stopping around noon.  I did sweep and wash the kitchen floor.  The sweeper forgot to sweep.  Maybe another day memory will serve the sweeper well.

So I took the gift of today to mean it was a day to sit, sleep and just take it easy.  My blood pressure has been a bit on the low side and the fact that the heart doc discontinued the magnesium all have a contributing factor. I never got an answer to my magnesium question.  Some doctors are like that.

Doug and I made a trip to the library again with a stack of returns and back home again on the range with another stack.  One book I wanted to go through again was the 4000 year history of cancer.  It's a good read but a very long one.  Dr. Schneider also has plodded through all 472 pages.  The title...The Emperor of all Maladies by Mukherjee, a doctor from India. There is always a long wait for this book at the Carmel Library.  Another book Help me Live.  20 things people with cancer want you to know.  Lori Hope.  It has great suggestions about how to talk with cancer patients.  What to say and what not to say.  Curiosity drives me to read.  And there there was a stash of books about gardens for small spaces.

I made an effort to walk the garden which I did pinching the Dahlias to make them grow into bushy plants.  I spotted three wild turkeys in the neighbors yard and a just fledged baby woodpecker.

Emerging cucumbers.  I think I planted too many seeds in one spot.  A few will need to go.

A few pictures were taken for the blog. I was happy to be back in the chair for a nap with the hope that tomorrow will see a little more energy coming from this body.  I'm out of here by 8:10 am on my way to I U North for my forgotten monthly shot and two infusions.  Dah on my part.  I'm taking my blood pressure cuff with me tomorrow to compare with hospital readings.  Mine might need to be re calibrated..
