Calling the path planting finished.  Now it needs time to fill in.

So what happened today?  It's so easy to forget when it's a busy day.  And it was busy for this older lady.  It was a 5:30 morning and the bed felt pretty good so I stayed a bit longer.  Then 8:10 came pretty quickly after all the morning stuff was finished.  I was off to I U North for the infusion morning which went very well again.  It always has and I have no reason to expect that not to continue.

Rise and shine.  Ms. Tipsy is showing all her stuff.  More buds are coming right along.

I had my to do list I wrote up last night so after the infusion, I was off to Ace Hardware collecting everything in a cart.  Woo.  I would say the collection was bigger than usual.  I am a little embarrassed when the check out girl knows my name.  But her goal is to remember everyone's name that drops in.  She knows a lot of folks.  I would say she is meeting her goal.

                                                    Another flower in the walk-way.

I was reading about repelling bunnies in one of my books.  There was a suggestion to buy lavender which they are suppose to hate.  I thought a stop at Rosie's might be where I could find lavender and it was. Three lavenders came home with me.  So with bunny spray off and lavender, I'm giving it my best try.

One of three in the big Dahlia patch.  I'll try anything.

The parking lot at Rosie's was filled with many large blue tubs filled with water and bubblers.  She was hosting a Koi event.  People were bringing their Koi to be judged as well as having some for sale.  What a surprise.  Something new to me and sounded like fun to witness.  I think we will be back tomorrow to see some beautiful expensive fish from many different states.

No bunny was eating on this Dahlia.  It's not in the Dahlia bed but far afield.

It was home at that point for lunch. A whole lot of stuff now sitting in the trunk of the car needed to find a place in the ground.  So work started and although I finished in the rain it all was accomplished.  More plants were planted in the walkway.  Some plants were moved.  Pea gravel was put under some of the stepping stones to raise them.  Additional mulch was added but not completely finished. And the lavender found a place in the Dahlia bed with bunnies in mind.  I'm beginning to feel closer to passing go again and not ending up back in jail when path working.  The space just needed more to make it interesting.  Now the job is to keep it looking like a welcome to the garden spot.

A few weeks ago the bunny attacked this Dahlia eating that little stem which was much smaller down to the two lateral leaves.  It's taken quite some time to grow up probably receiving more nibbles.  It's protected now and will eventually recover.  Dahlias are late summer fall flowers unless they are started indoors in March. Those Dahlias are blooming now.

I passed up going to see Ramona thinking that the move to the new rehab facility might be enough for her today.  A visit tomorrow sounded like a better idea.  I picked up another encouragement rock at I U North for her this morning.

Another new plant that will quickly fill in this complete area in a week or so.

There was a sleepy time in the afternoon which shouldn't be much of a surprise.  Then a protein drink.  I think I earned it legitimately. Some days are like that you know.  The afternoon included another soccer game.  Last night's USA game ended with a loss that happened about a minute or less before the game was over.  What a disappointment but it happens.  So USA has two wins and a loss.  Still not a bad record.  Just not as good as one would wish.

Flower number three already.  The more one cuts, the more blooms happen.
