Friday

The last day of the work week.  Well, that's for some but not for all.  But it's Friday. The first order of the day was the paper work.  That means homework in this case.  I got-er-done.  There was a little TV and then I decided to do a walk around the block.  It went well yesterday and I thought to repeat it again.  

Neighbor Vicky and her dog caught up with me and we completed the walk stopping to talk to another gardener neighbor as we passed by.  She was enlarging her front garden.  I spent the morning doing a little more knitting.  Not to much but enough for the morning. A bit more happened in the afternoon.

There was lunch and then a Kroger stop for 4 gal of distilled water.  Enough for a while to keep my C Pap machine happy.  I stopped at the Y to see what more walking would do there for a body that might benefit with a bit more exercise. It's been a while since I've done the Y.  That also was pretty positive experience. I wasn't there for very long. 

Then it was back to homework with a day without the big medicine but with a body now feeling it might benefit from  perhaps some Tylenol..  I'm planning to wait till after the Fever game for my night time BIG BERTHA pill. That is if I need it. I've been known to miss parts of a lot of games sleeping.  Tonight's game is one with a team that sits pretty close to the bottom.  There are two more games after the Fever. I think only one is televised.

I saw some of the cherry tomatoes are ripening.  Doug is a tomato freak.  He just can't get enough.  The garden is full of green tomatoes but he likes them on the red side.  So we wait.  All the cats now are in the chrysalis stage.  So we wait again.  But there always comes an after the wait..  Something to look forward to.

Red sails in the morning, Sailors take warning.   The warning sign was miss thinking about a wonderful day with a gorgeous sunrise, but it turned into anything but wonderful. And after yesterday's blog entry, what was hoped to be a good week had a dismal beginning.  Jared called to tell us that Sunday evening Wyatt, their beautiful red poodle stopped eating and by three in the morning of Monday as Jared was driving to Lancing to the Vet at Michigan State, Wyatt died.  Wyatt was one wonderful dog in every sense of the word.  Smart, friendly, protective with absolute understanding about so many things.  Today and the days ahead will be days of mourning eventually becoming times of reflections about all the good that Wyatt brought to us.  His camping chair is now sitting in our living room reminding us of that goodness he gifted us.  After hearing about this event, I took a walk outside to clear my head and heart and found the first of many crocus bl...

                                   A nice ending to an interesting day.  Fresh flowers are always refreshing.  I woulad call this a little crazy day.  Meaning the unexpected was part of the morning.  But first... A great night of sleep again thinking it was six o'clock when it really was seven.  Now an extra hour of sleep never hurt anyone.  There was breakfast of course with a little TV. Yesterday I finished sewing and turning 30 burps, so the order of the morning was to iron all of them with top stitching in mind at some point. And there was time to iron all 30.             I did some straw flower seed saving.  It's a repeat of last fall that worked well this spring. Then it was off to church to pick up and put away all the things that supported the six weeks of sermons on prayer.  I love these lit...

 The morning started off with breakfast and then a trip with Eric to Nora where he catches the bus to Indy.  I always love these trips in the winter often accompanied with a beautiful winter sun rise.  The morning light was coming through but it will be even better in another month.  I have taken some beautiful pictures in the early morning.   Home again and I did some sewing and some knitting.  The usual stuff that seems to be the winter work.  Ten more burps and I finished another scarf, one that could have been finished yesterday.  I was thinking no rush which is really true.  There is no rush. All the ripped fabric has been sewn so it would seem new ripping will happen soon. This noon was our first North Side North Church noon lunch instead of supper.  No driving in the dark for three months.  There were eleven of us, a smaller group but we all sat around one long table which was really nice.  And there was so much tal...
