Monday
The garden walk was first on the list and it didn't take very long for the message to come that this morning would be a work morning. The garden was needy for a lot of reasons.
I set up the sprinkler to help the Dahlias though this dry season. No water, no flowers. I wanted flowers so the water was delivered in a quantity that will give me flowers. The garden cart followed me out of the garage to the north side of the back garden where the Iris live. It was time for their summer hair cut. Stella came along side giving me a seat to work from. She is always a huge help with Iris trimming. Sitting when cutting makes the job doable. It takes so long to shape two large garden plots of Iris up for the rest of the late summer days. Along with trimming comes the discovery of everything that is exposed to view when their trim happens. So the whole morning's work delivered three garden carts filled to overflowing contributed to one B. Blue.
When all of that work was declared finished, the sprinkler delivered a good refreshing drink to that area of the yard. So giving another section of the garden another chance to perform was the gift I gave. And it was time for lunch.
I dumped the tired flowers throughout the house and filled a vast with fresh new Dahlias after the flowers parts had been submerged in water. That's an easy way to force bug loving peddle chewers to expose themselves.
The afternoon proved to me that I was living in a tired body. Woo. There is no spring chicken living in this house. I think the rooster is growing older as well. I would say there was just the old hen that's a bit slow needed the green chair this afternoon.
The homework instructions for exercise were completed but goodness me. I would think what happened in the garden during the morning might have been enough exercise. No, that didn't count at all. The right muscles didn't get a go around. There was a lot of exercise every where to start the week. The Dr. assigned homework seems to be making a difference. My hope is that the garden work this morning didn't cancel out the afternoon paper work. Tonight will prove that right or wrong. For the healing that is happening, I am grateful. I'm down to one or none of the big helper pills for night time sleeping. That's a good thing.
