Wednesday

 Two big things happened today.  That was enough.  But the night was crazy.  A total of 4 hours of shut eye.  Why not more.  Who has the answer.  Certainly not me.  So I went with four.  Better than three.  That means the say came early and all the usual stuff happened.  

The first of two big things.  I worked in the garden finishing up all the little stuff that was over looked on the first go around.  But only in one area.  So the cart followed me around for a bit.  

Then the second was a bit bigger.  I did a run to Nora to pick up some medicine for Ramona.  Made another run about an hour later but received a cancel the trip notice.  So I canceled but continued on the road to once again move her on to the eye doctor again.  After some delays we made it to the doctor right at the 2 o'clock hour meaning we were on time.  That is if one does not live by the motive of early is on time.  I planned for extra time on the road but that disappeared with Ramona energy level having difficulty getting the day started.

She is seeing more things which was quite evident when she was relating that she had never seen this part of Indy.  Well, she had traveled through more than a few times when unable to see.  But NOW she was seeing it for the first time.  Remarkable. 

The total trip time started at 11:30 and ended at 4:30.  She was one whipped puppy and so was I.  We'll be in Michigan when the last appointment happens.  So today was our last must do get together.  A little simpler life will be much appreciated by my body, soul and mind. Ramona continues to be an interesting lady.

Doug offered and I accepted to make his own supper.  What a grand idea.  My suppers have been so simple so I just filled the bowl with easy stuff stashed in the refrigerator and the mug filled with hot beef broth.  The stomach stays happy that way. I'm happy to continue making that spot happy.  

Tonight it's W. basket ball again.  I think there are two games.  That makes a good evening and then I hope...really hope the night time holds a lot of zzzzzzzz.

                                   A nice ending to an interesting day.  Fresh flowers are always refreshing.  I woulad call this a little crazy day.  Meaning the unexpected was part of the morning.  But first... A great night of sleep again thinking it was six o'clock when it really was seven.  Now an extra hour of sleep never hurt anyone.  There was breakfast of course with a little TV. Yesterday I finished sewing and turning 30 burps, so the order of the morning was to iron all of them with top stitching in mind at some point. And there was time to iron all 30.             I did some straw flower seed saving.  It's a repeat of last fall that worked well this spring. Then it was off to church to pick up and put away all the things that supported the six weeks of sermons on prayer.  I love these lit...

Red sails in the morning, Sailors take warning.   The warning sign was miss thinking about a wonderful day with a gorgeous sunrise, but it turned into anything but wonderful. And after yesterday's blog entry, what was hoped to be a good week had a dismal beginning.  Jared called to tell us that Sunday evening Wyatt, their beautiful red poodle stopped eating and by three in the morning of Monday as Jared was driving to Lancing to the Vet at Michigan State, Wyatt died.  Wyatt was one wonderful dog in every sense of the word.  Smart, friendly, protective with absolute understanding about so many things.  Today and the days ahead will be days of mourning eventually becoming times of reflections about all the good that Wyatt brought to us.  His camping chair is now sitting in our living room reminding us of that goodness he gifted us.  After hearing about this event, I took a walk outside to clear my head and heart and found the first of many crocus bl...

 The morning started off with breakfast and then a trip with Eric to Nora where he catches the bus to Indy.  I always love these trips in the winter often accompanied with a beautiful winter sun rise.  The morning light was coming through but it will be even better in another month.  I have taken some beautiful pictures in the early morning.   Home again and I did some sewing and some knitting.  The usual stuff that seems to be the winter work.  Ten more burps and I finished another scarf, one that could have been finished yesterday.  I was thinking no rush which is really true.  There is no rush. All the ripped fabric has been sewn so it would seem new ripping will happen soon. This noon was our first North Side North Church noon lunch instead of supper.  No driving in the dark for three months.  There were eleven of us, a smaller group but we all sat around one long table which was really nice.  And there was so much tal...
