Monday

 Tonight's blog is a bit later than usual.  Spectrum cut a cable or maybe it was the construction crew building the roundabout near by.  We lost phone cable TV, iPhone which is about everything electronically in our house.  But back running just in time for Monday night football.  So this blog writing will be quick.  



                I couldn't resist taking a picture of our bushes.  I love their berries and waxy leaves. 

 A second night of great sleep. Now let's make it three.  All the usual stuff to get ready for the day happened.  I finished another scarf.  And started another scarf.  It's my last skein of yarn so you know where I'll be going soon.  H H in Noblesville is so much bigger then the Westfield store. I may need to  take a trip to Nobelsville soon. And I know where their Goodwill is...of course!  


I took pictures this morning I named the picture theme Fall blooming grass.  They are beautiful.  

I had an appointment to get pictures taken of my carotid Arteries. It's another year with no symptoms.  Thank be to God.  There was concern about them causing some problems a few years ago so there is a yearly picture to check on their health. That happened and I will get the results in two weeks when I see Dr. Goodman.  Yes. Another visit to I U North.  Woo.  


I tore some flannel this afternoon but did no sewing.  I did a little iPhone stuff sitting on the patio.  Supper happened and the temperature said I should use the hedge trimmers.  I cleared more area of B E Susan's, raking up a heap of stuff but it didn't make it to the B Blue's. That will be a Tuesday afternoon job.  Susan is finished for this year. 


So it's Football in America tonight.  Funny how Spectrum got the cable fixed just in time for the game!

Red sails in the morning, Sailors take warning.   The warning sign was miss thinking about a wonderful day with a gorgeous sunrise, but it turned into anything but wonderful. And after yesterday's blog entry, what was hoped to be a good week had a dismal beginning.  Jared called to tell us that Sunday evening Wyatt, their beautiful red poodle stopped eating and by three in the morning of Monday as Jared was driving to Lancing to the Vet at Michigan State, Wyatt died.  Wyatt was one wonderful dog in every sense of the word.  Smart, friendly, protective with absolute understanding about so many things.  Today and the days ahead will be days of mourning eventually becoming times of reflections about all the good that Wyatt brought to us.  His camping chair is now sitting in our living room reminding us of that goodness he gifted us.  After hearing about this event, I took a walk outside to clear my head and heart and found the first of many crocus bl...

 It's 7 PM and 66 degrees maybe with a breeze off the lake.  Changed to long pants and a better jacket.  It's cloudy right now with a chance of rain tonight.  Most rains are not predicted so it's maybe yes and maybe no.  So what was today like.  Check what was posted for yesterday with  kayaking deleted. Read, slept, walked and played cards once again.  We had icecream at the Fort Store.  That was a first.   We played a couple of games of Kubb.  It's a great yard game that one can become proficient in quickly.  The WiFi is really slow for picture up loads so one will need to do.   Tonight the JB family will begin packing for home.  The camp kitchen will come down and tomorrow morning the tent will be next.  The hope is that they will leave the campground no later than 10 after their last pancake breakfast at our dining fly.  It's always a sad time but the plan is to do this all over again next year...

 This morning...nothing different.  Cards and Pancakes with no rain and none promised.  That could change but so what.  A little rain never has stopped us from doing.   The first big bottle of syrup and the first bag of pancake mix is gone but there is more stashed away.  We never run out of breakfast fixings.  The second book is well on the way. I think it's the same for Doug.  I spent the afternoon with Natasha sitting on the deck and visiting with her mother Dorthy.  She is a great storyteller.  Natasha's dad is our potter friend Dennis.  Natasha is also a potter among many other things.  This is a picture of the shop.  A large deck behind the deck is a sweet place to visit and make new friends.   Today our church friends Jeanie and Neal arrived.  They will be here for 3 nights.  We'll do a little visiting later around the Jared Russell campfire giving them some ideas of what they might like to ...
