Friday
A new day! And there was no dream last night. Bummer. Where was God with an answer. Sometimes we need to wait because the answer will come in a still small voice. I'm beginning to think the purse is in some container since I couldn't see it sitting anywhere. I continue to think!!!
The last of the fall asters.Today was a bit different. I worked on all the things I brought home from church yesterday in the morning. It was something different to tweak my brain. The circles for the candles are done. Well, at least one set is finished. I need to go to H H to purchase five more rings.
Such a rich blue with gold edging. A great combination we have used for years. Yes, you see four. The fifth one is at church.
The banners are finished and will hang in the west lobby. Folks will say, "are those new. I never saw them before". There is a 1991 date on the banners. No they are not new. We just haven't used the blue side of the banners for a few years. People forget. I can prove that to be true. More banners will be hung in the area. I'll post pictures when when the "new" blue banners are hung. They are seven feet long so a little difficult to photo here at home.
I found some Christmas Ornament hooks in our closet. I haven't had a tree in probably 25 years. So that's a great donation to the cause. We won't need to buy any to hang ornaments from the curly willow branches that were donated a few years ago.
The Hamilton series is coming the second Sunday in November. I worked on some ribbons adding Faith and Mental Health words to the ribbon with ink pens. Another visual for the sanctuary. The theme being Keep a light on Faith and Mental Health. We hope to fill tables in the sanctuary with many kinds of lights.
A drawer was cleaned out and the recently donated ribbon has a home in the TV room until there is more space in our drawers at church. Some ribbon we can use, some we can't.
Lunch happened and the afternoon was given to the garden with more clean up. I think there is nothing quite as hard as cutting down and stuffing ornamental grass into the B Blue. There was enough to stuff 1 and 1/2 B Blues this afternoon ready and waiting for next Wednesday to roll around. Raking happened and I was happy and tired...more tired to be finished with all the grass today. The hedge trimmers found more to trim and ran out of battery juice. So did I. The Noah pond was emptied and the liner was stored in the garage until next spring. The pond hole was covered till next spring.
I did some picture taking and also stored all the fairy friends along with the stump they live on. So even though the weather is incredibly warm I'm pretty far along with winter preparation. Eric is coming tomorrow to store the patio umbrella in the garage. I can set it up in the spring but taking it down in the fall is impossible.
Still hear!Today came to an end with the usual as the morning started with the usual. Nothing exciting. Just a slow wind down that I earned for sure today. My body agreed. We'll see when I come up for air again.
