Sunday
Yes, Sunday all day just like the usual but one might use the word unusual to note today.
The bumble bee also likes the dahlia that I like.It was a marvelous morning of music which I so looked forward to and was not disappointed in the least. And Thad the director of music at North also was please with all that happened. For a first timer it was excellent. He teaches coral directing among other things music at Anderson U. making him well equipped for North. Some of his students joined the choir which also was a great experience for them and us.
The canna's continue to send up buds. After church there was a major tear down of handbells and orchestra and more and a rebuild for next Sunday which is All Saints Day, another morning of celebration. Tables were moved in from heather and yon and Tuesday the Visual Arts Crew will meet at 11 to finish the preparation. Currently we are a bit short on custodial personal so parishioners were happy to provide support. We have a great group of church people willing to lend a hand.
Tuesday the plan is to add some Advent work. The church is huge and there is a lot to cover. So preparing early is on time, so to speak. The big reveal will happen Thanksgiving week. That's about a month away, if you haven't figured that out.
Freddy has moved inside this week. I think he looks pretty happy about his new digs.Today's afternoon hour was truly an afternoon of rest. The Saturday night of sleep was a bit elusive again with a three hour hole. So today's easy does it was just what was needed. The Colts lost to Minnesota. Grr. That better not happen but it could when I U plays the U of Minnesota next Saturday. A little knitting happened and a little sleep came along as well. The week will prove to be interesting with unexpected things coming my way. I'm never very surprised, always ready for the unexpected.
I did turn down the chance to work at the church Trunk or Treat this afternoon. Car trunks full of CANDY along with hotdogs and chips for an evening meal will be passed out to an expected 600 folks. I think it's better for this body to stay away from such a crowd. My excuse...honoring my compromised immunity! One can't be to careful. I think this week we could be getting our flu/covid shots. Our primary doctor told us the sick season is stretching into May now so we skipped a few weeks with shots coming a bit later. We could go into November.
Another pot of plants that benefited from being outside for the summer.
