Thursday

This little guy always has a smile.  It's just what I needed to see today.

Dear St. Anthony, please come around Lela's purse is missing and cannot be found.  More about that later!

I could also add the name Lela and her horrible, no good, very bad day.  Some days are like that...

So the day started out with the usuals and knitting for a spell, then off to pick up Noah and and off to church we went for Noah's morning at soup kitchen and bell work and my morning starting to do a few Christmas things among other things.  There are always other things.

One of the last.  I'll be digging soon.  The paper bags are ready for dahlia tubers for storing                     over the winter.  I'm using Kathy's system that works well for her.  Now we'll see my attempt.

I forget that I had a PT session with Michael this morning before I met Noah.  NOT THINKING!!!!!

Arriving at church Noah got busy getting soup kitchen jobs completed.  I stopped by and then was on to doing what was the start of the usual annual Advent, Christmas visual work.  We had donations of tree ornaments some years ago  but some are just ornaments that are pretty but with no religious significance, etc.  Drawers of ornaments were brought to the chapel and Tuesday we will go through them using what we think could work for us at North

I located wooden Sunday School tables we can use for All Saints Sunday and this coming Sunday will ask for burley choir men to move them to the sanctuary after the service. I'll ask the ladies of the choir to take note.

I looked at two banners we've never used in the west lobby and decided adjustments could be made making them easier for possible hanging in that area.  They are home with me for just that adjustment. I'm always thinking about something new and different for folks to enjoy.  We have quite a stash to choose from.

The decorative rings Advent Candles sit in are also here having blue and gold ribbon added before hand helping the rings visually. I need to buy 5 more rings. One more task completed early.

Other items that needed stashing in their correct spot found their place during the morning.

Noah completed his work and moved on to helping Kelly and Jeff set up handbells for the Sunday Service.  It will be a service filled with music coming from many places celebrating our Sunday to collect pledges for the work in year 2027.

I love how the western sun lights up the leaves causing them to look their best.

2.  At about this time I discovered my purse was missing because I had no idea where I had it hidden.  Another huge forget that involved the car keys, drivers license and credit card and more.

So there was a HUGE block of time spent retracing steps as my second grader Ben would often say as he forgot things.  I never did find the purse after my legs felt like they had walked about 50 miles through the church..  I don't believe it was taken.  I just forgot where I put it.  Those times seem to be coming more and more and I HATE them.  Kelly/Jeff navigated us north in their car back seat to get another fob from Doug.  Then back to church we went to retrieve the car never finding the purse.

The hydrangea did it's best ever this year with at least six HUGH flowers.                                                                                  Yes, there was a lot of rain this spring.

3. So I was off to PT only to realize the appointment wasn't 3 pm but 8:15am.  The office folks were so gentle and graciously giving me a 4:30 appointment.  I think Michael's last of the day.  I told Michael what ever the event held, I wanted to hear Shubert.  That stunned him and we had another great conversation about music and more. Michael helped me land in a good place during the 45 minute appointment. He played Shubert on his iPhone. His PT had it's highs and lows pain wise which I allowed myself to think...Well done Michael. He hit a lot of sore tight spots on my neck.

And once again one of my favorite plants.  Hen's and Chicks now are missing their rooster.                 He is in the dining room.  During the winter I have seen these plants nibbled to almost nothing.                                              Last year I covered them with get this, CHICKEN WIRE!                                                                        It worked and the plants came through the winter as winners.

4.  Yes, 4.  Rita needed some labels from church and I promised to bring them.  I forgot.

Soup was in the refrigerator so supper was easy.  Taking pictures made me think of something else. Blogging helped to empty the mind.  Nancy and I did our texting over the WNBA last night.  Another good thing to think about even though the Fever is home in Indy. I'll be in the chair soon. And yes...tomorrow is a new day.  I'll be in the garden raking, the hedge trimmer battery is full and it will be a better day.  Life must go on. The church is locked and empty for the day.

It would be great if a dream tonight told me where the purse is.  I'm thinking of Jacob and his ladder dream.
