Wednesday
Today was a gang buster day when it came to burps. The hammer came down and now there are seventy burps in the container. I started the day with 10. I'm ALL out of flannel so until I find some everything is on hold. I've used up every little scrap left over from some other burp project. Ginny should have plenty but something started needs to end up finished. Tomorrow on my way home from church I hope to remember to look at other stores that usually come through. The usual places are not stocked with flannel sheets.
And speaking about tomorrow. I have a date with grandson Noah. He needs to do some volunteer work for school credit and we'll be on our way to church to learn all about Bread and Bowl. He will work for 2 hours and then his second job is setting up for handbell playing Sunday. He'll be busy as well as me! I want to find a few new things that we'll need for Advent. It never hurts to start early to avoid hopefully some bumps in the road so to speak. Our next big work day is Tuesday for All Saints Sunday. It always brings a crowd of folks. After that is the Hamilton Sunday, along with once again a great fall arrangement on the altar for three weeks. Then what seems like hundreds of nativities are placed everywhere leading up to the first Sunday of Advent. We are busy.
Tonight I'm taking it easy. I started knitting but then stopped. That can happen another day.
I love this old maple tree stump in the patio garden. More area cleaned up and ready to go. Cannas and Dahlias still all in their places until frost. Other flowers are gone. The afternoon was filled with garden work. The hedge trimmers was busy filling once again empty B Blues. But not empty for long. Raking happened and then more clipping which will be contributed to the B Blues on Friday if not before. One huge stand of grass remains today with a few other things.
Supper happened and I made a stop at Beth G's for some donated ribbon. More to add to the church collection. So the day was full of this and that. The weather continues to be just beautiful and promises to stay that way for a while.
