We're seeing the gift of rain today.  Cloudy and dismal and dank.  But I must confess that if we didn't have days like today I don't think we would appreciate all the days with sun and fair weather.  So I'll take it.  The bulbs and spring perennials are probably lovin' it on a day like today.   Today I'm taking it easy.  Really easy.  I have a horrendously sore shoulder.  And I finally figured out why that was the case.  I will admit to a whole lot of overuse with a rotary cutter and 5 inch squares. I'm feeling it so I'm making this an easy day.  There could be more. I did just a tad bit of cutting using a new blade which has been a big help.  There is no need to do any extra force with a new cutting tool blade.  Yesterday I cut the black boarder and this morning the blue with once again running out of blue fabric since when buying I hadn't planned on a boarder.    Back to JoAnns for the fabric to complete ...

Wordle in six...Not so good but at least I figured this one out. Crossword...really easy.  I got Eric to the bus and the kids to school.  Busy early morning.  Kat went to work early since they were short on workers.  Not such a hot breakfast meal since the milk went sour since yesterday.'s breakfast.   Big surprise.  I thought it looked a little thick!!!!! Put together another quilt top so now there are three with till a big stack of squares so there will be a number four. .  I've got the routine down so there should be more tops until it drives me crazy.   So far number 3 looks just like numbers 1 and 2.  A tiny black border is ready for tomorrow morning's work along with an even wider border, color to be determined.  I'm thinking of a fleece backing.  Then some knotting.  Easy solution.   I made a stop at the bank to deposit some checks.  Then to Sarah Ellen's with a bunch of bibs for Kenya on t...

This morning it didn't come.  That is the sunrise.  What I really mean is that we couldn't see it.  Of course, it came!  Wordle not finished at this point but the Crossword is. I'll work on it!   Three of our Tues Bread and Bowl folks are on vacation.  They did a bit of recruiting before they left and I did a bit of volunteering this morning.  Their recruiting was pretty successful so I left mid-morning.  Too many folks just get in each other's way and I left plenty of workers in a good place to continue on.                                                     It's cut sew and iron and do it all over again.                                           ...

I know they all look alike but every morning brings another gift.  Beautiful.  They just keep coming...That is beautiful morning skies.  I know there is a warning that goes with red sails.  The afternoon started with rain.  That's OK by me.  It's too cold to be outside anyways.  Morning crossword was successful and Wordle came in the afternoon with three tries and never a wrong letter in any of those tries.  Woo...pretty good for me with having a little luck thrown in.                                               Eye Candy  Baby quilts beginning their adventure to completion.   oday was a day of sewing patches.  Loving every minute of it but the account of the day ...

A super overnight sleep.  Thanks to whatever made that happen.  I'm still in awe having the most of the morning at home before starting out for church at 10:20.                                               I owe the Lord a morning song of gratitude and praise.     But before that, all happened I spent some time at the cutting table hacking out more 5 inch squares for something.  I did finish late afternoon with square making.  Now what?  It will be square sewing at some point soon.                                 It's a stack nearly 3 1/2 inches high.  A lot of squares means a lot of sewing.  We were off to church at 10:20 after a conversation with Doug telling him that there was nothing that I ...

Up and ready to go this morning.  That's a very good thing because once again after three weeks off it was Bread and Bowl morning at church.  And before that happened and before I left home I cut some long pussy willow branches or the altar..   As usual the camera was at home for the morning . Bummer!   Freshening the altar arrangements were first on the list of thing completed.   No altar flowers are reserved for the month of January so we'll be using the same arrangement of grasses, beautifully dried hydrangea with added pussy willow sticks. It fills the space beautifully at no cost.  yahoo!!!!   Then it was on to the Community Room for a morning of a whole lot of work. The possibilities of not meeting our 11 o'clock deadline were there but once again this time at 11:02, we opened. The line at first was long but soon changed to a few now and then as usually happens on Saturdays. Comapared to the Tues and Thurs. mornings, our...

An easy crossword this morning.  Wordle made me think.  And I'm still thinking.  Breakfast as usual.  Morning as usual doing stuff.   I finished the placemats this morning making me happy and making me sad.  I love fabric and always thinking about the box of interesting bits and pieces of fabric Kat gave me a few years ago.  I need an IDEA!. Onward and forward to another day. The sewing table is very clean.  All the thread and needles have been put away.  I'm the only one that doesn't want to quit.                                            Last chance to see all of this together.  It's moving on!  A little before noon I decided a trip to Goodwill was in order.  Two gifts this Christmas were containers of succulents both to Kimmy and Kat.  My shelves were looking a bit sparse so the first t...
