Wed. I'm back Thanks be to God!

This time I hope I'm back for a very long time.  The computer with pictures is finally a go and all the excitement of Sunday is over.   I don't know if I've recovered yet.  There are a few more days before the next Sunday.   For those few who don't know it was another hospital stay of a couple of days.  And it all started in the pew at church with a pass out  seizure type of thing. I think something to do with high sugar perhaps.  The whole service came to a halt for a while.  How embarrassing with a carry out by the good old EMTS.   Lots of tests I guess.  I don't remember a thing until Sunday evening with a trip into a scan machine.  I got released Tuesday and today I visited my primary care doctor for answers and I'm pretty well satisfied.  Two days in bed have really made me wobbly so I'm pretty careful about moving around.  It should get better soon.  I won't be driving for a while because of the s...

Last night's sleeping history.  Wake up at 1 like it was time to get up.  So I got up and then back to bed by 2 with the rest of the night sleeping.  The nights are so interesting.  I never know what's going to happen.  Then the alarm woke me up at 6! Did I need to set it?  NO!  What a ditts.                                T his little rose Doug propagated 50 years ago.  It  just keeps doing it's thing.  I watched a little morning TV.  Ate some oatmeal.  Did a little sewing.  And then it was off to Noblesville to see a new eye doctor.  Such a young thing.  I think they make them younger every year.  He prescribed reading glasses.  I said not now.  I'll use my drugstore brand.  Each eye is really different and his suggestion probably should be followed.  When I can't thread the sewing machi...

Grr.  The night ended at 2:30.  I was ready to go back to sleep at 6:30 but Eric's trip to Nora took care of that.  And sleep probably would not have happened anyway.  It was mine to live with which brought a morning nap and an early afternoon one.                                                                              So beautiful in the garden.   The day was interesting in many ways.  The stack of Xmas decorations went back on the shelf till next Nov.  The stack of pans used to make the Amnesty Candle went back on the shelf waiting for the next wax job.  Charlotte got her gourd bird house for her Blue Birds.  It got a good spray providing a longer life. As a result of Sunday's sermon, the refri...

Sunday all day

I was up at the usual time.  Daylight savings time has rolled around again and the sooner the better to see light in the morning again.  I messed with the phone, TV and the sewing machine early in the morning.  One more little bag made and then off to church.                            Palm Sunday a few years ago.  I think we'll let the donkey in the stable this year.                                                                                            We've got to keep things fresh.   Woo...it was a block buster morning with music and preaching.  All so well coordinated.  The staff ...

Saturday.

Today was the every other Saturday for Soup Kitchen work at church.  But before that I was up at 6 with breakfast and a little sewing time.  By 8 I was on my way to church to be at the door when Tosha would be arriving.  Sarah Ellen is in Italy for the week.  One person short makes a whole lot of difference when the soup kitchen crew is at it's usually small size.  Jack arrived earlier than usual so that was a big help and the new Cindy crew of two more folks made work time even easier.  Sometimes I feel like it's a guess who is coming to work now added to the guess who is coming to lunch.  The crowd wasn't as large as usual.  We just never know.  I say it's a crap shot not to be figured out!                                                I hope to have a lot of these orange cosmos this summer....

Friday.

The pictures are all from Daliah Hill in Midland Michigan. I had such a crazy beginning today.  It was Saturday for at least 20 minutes.  I was sure.  Then I figured it out.  I did the Eric thing.  A trip to the drugstore to get medicine.  I wanted the reminder calls to stop.  45  minutes after getting home I got another one thinking it needed to be ignored.  Well, that was wrong as well.  I stayed home till the afternoon.   I dug out more scrap fabric to see if they could be added to the bags.  I found some but the patchers were too small.More bags are on the cutting table. Those are finished, todays not.  Amazon made their delivery in the afternoon and the stack of little bags is growing.   Yesterday after the memorial service I went into the banner closet and brought home banners we are hanging for Easter Sunday.  Patty H. made this set years ago and it was time to use them again.  They got a gr...

Kimmy did it again.  She guided me to the spot where now there is a change made in the blog settings  allowing comments.  If you had a google account you could do that already.  At least  that's what I think I'm reading.  So comment away when you want to.  Will be fun.                             I'm looking forward to a whole bunch of different zinnias this summer.   Finger report.  It's doing fine with a major clean up today. One reason for no butterfly but a small club is to pad the site.  Typing is improving.  The day brought more sewing with four more bags completed and one waiting for velcro which should arrive tomorrow via Amazon.  Another package of D rings should be included to finish up a few cover ups.  It's been a busy sewing season with some new challenges that keep the sewing room interesting.  I must dig through my...
