Today was a day of rest.  Well, maybe!  Today was a day of sitting.  That's more like it.  Rest...Not so sure.   It was a good night of sleep for me.  Even better for Doug.  He barely  had enough time to get ready for church.  No coffee or paper for him before leaving at 10.  There was a big sigh of relief when I hear his say...I made it, when entering the car.  Sleepy head.                           I grew this zinnia from seed.  The yellow zinnias have done well through the heat.                                                                   And then there is clover who photo bombed the picture.          ...

Saturday

Saturday all day long and I thought it was time to spend a little time in the garden.  So I did but not before...                                                                                                     Pink Cleome                If flowers can make it through the heat of the summer, I think they look their best in the fall.                                                               I wonder what kind of but is flying near by. The day started...

Finally, one of three Mexican Sunflowers.  They were slow pokes this year.  Maybe they needed water. It's Blog Time!  I usually write just after supper but today I'm writing before supper. So we'll see how this goes.  There will be picture taking after supper for sure.                                     Remember last night's picture.  This little gem just needed more time. So what was today like?  The only thing I have been thinking more about today are burps.  I've been on a huge roll. I was tearing fabric way before Doug opened his eyes.  And I ripped a bunch of burps.  Doug's just across the hall from the sewing room and never hears me.  The TV did the talking and I listened.  The goal was to rip enough to get to a total of 100. 40 are finished. Well, I blew that right out of the room.  There are more and tha...

Now let me think.  What happened today.  How much have I forgotten by 5:49 pm.                                                               Rain drops all over the Lamb's Ear plant.   There was a crazy night of sleep.  My fault.  I woke up at 3 gasping for air.  I forgot to wear my C Pap mask!  It was about 12 inches from me.  I was awake for a while but then slept till 7:30 wearing my mask.  That machine certainly makes a difference.  So, there was a little TV with some interest in the presses ability to report.  I knitted while listening.  I had good intentions to walk at the Y today but that didn't happen.  There is always tomorrow.  I did all the Michael exercises more than once or twice.  They seem to be helpi...

Wednesday

It's the day that marks the middle of the week for me.  Big oops started the day.  I thought it was 6 am but WRONG.  It was 5 after waking up at 3.  Just another one of those nights that happens with no rime or reason.                                                                                             From the garden. So, there was breakfast.  Some knitting on a new scarf but not very much.  Checking the calendar reported that I had an appointment for a shot at 9:30.  Well, that was wrong.  Some where it was canceled. So I moved on to H H. looking for more yarn.  Didn't find anything I liked.  Then to a close by Aldi's for crouton making. Good grief...

Tuesday

Well, today was different once again.  A big difference has been a feeling of well being mentally and physically with surprising energy.  It's been sort of crazy feeling at least 20 years younger.  How does that work?                            Outside the kitchen window.  One little humming bird can usually be seen here. So a lot of things kept me busy.  Will tomorrow be a wash out.  I hope that's not the case.   There was knitting through out the day when it was time to take a break to do something different.  I'll finish another scarf tonight during the Fever game with Minn.  That will be a tough game.  There is one more game to play after tonight and it is once again with Minn.  How did that happen.  Minnesota is at the top of the league.  The Fever is fifth, maybe sixth.  Playoffs start Sunday.   So there was...

Monday

Image
Well, Monday started as it has for more years than I can number.  The though came after breakfast...what should I do next.  So I knitted for 15 minutes.  Then the sewing machine made many rounds around many markings.  I would say when I turned the machine off it had rounded 40 pieces of fabric totally 80 rounds.  Now there is a fact totally useless.  I was on a roll for sure.                                                               I think the Dahlia has reach it's zenith. I did a bit of Sunday paper reading for a while.  Watched a bit of television, fetched the paper in from the driveway holding an umbrella.  Yes...there was a lot of rain that came our way.   I watched the clock knowing I would be out and about at some point.  When th...
